Magazia was once upon a time the capital of Paxos. It is a tiny hamlet nestled amongst the olive trees approximately 4km northwest of Gaios. The village has a mini market, taverna, and a small bar/kafenion & bakery. A favourite area for walkers as there is a network of paths through the olive groves that lead to the lovely church of Ag. Apostoli and the famous cliffs of Ermitis from which you can witness the beautiful sunset. A small distance from the village you will find an olive press museum which was built in 1865 and in use until 1960. It provides a good insight into how people lived in the early days of Paxos.

It was a magical place to stay. We visited Giaos daily at least once a day sometimes twice finding the choice of places to eat and the standard of food high. Overall an excellent holiday - Genesis Taverna in Gaios we thoroughly recommend - used it every night as the staff, food, and views were great. That is amazing service! I would be happy to recommend this villa (and any other one from this owner!).

I work a lot of hours and was in need of a breakaway and time to relax with my wife. Great relaxed holiday at a nice quiet location. Nice terrace and pool, we enjoyed relaxing in the day and evening by the pool. We loved alternating days between exploring different places and beaches and having relaxing days at the villa. Villa Windmill and Magazia were perfect for my family. We had a great time there and were every day amazed by how lovely the places Lakka and Loggos (both reachable within 8 min drive from the villa). While there we took several trips to fab beaches near Loggos and Gaios (Paralia Kaki Lagkada, Paralia Kamini, Kipos and Gianas beach). Nice quality time spend there: tasting local food, wine tasting, swimming, sunbathing, snorkeling, etc. Overall Villa Windmill is spotless, has more than everything you need, wonderful grounds, pool everything! Very satisfied that we booked this villa for our current holiday destination and we definitely book it again for the next year.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay on the beautiful island of Paxos. It was so lovely to sit on the patio and watch the world go by. The villa that is well equipped with all conveniences for 2 people has offered us peace and comfort.

Boat hiring and care rental is available. Being at the beach overlooking the sea is like wanting to stay there forever. Going to Paxos is warmly recommended. You receive value for your money. For those adventurous, scuba diving is worth it.

Windmill villa was good but a little tired and dated. It was small and cosy, bed super comfy, views good, pool amazing etc but just a little tired and dated we felt. For the price I would expect the items in the house to be more updated - kettle was old and had loads of limescale, fridge was old, shower curtain had rust on it etc. The villa wasn't cleaned mid week and no new linen or towels given - for the price I would have expected this. It's hot here so we had daily showers and in/out the pool, so this would have been beneficial to have this mid week. So much potential. Xx

Breathtakingly pretty location. Spring flowers. Fireflies and beautiful walks. It was a break away from heaven that wI so needed.
